Mon, 12 February 2007 Just when you thought the coaching carousel had stopped spinning, the Chargers announced that they fired head coach Marty Schottenheimer on Monday. It's rather odd that they waited this long to make this move given that the scouting season is well underway, but there still seem to be some reasonable head coaching candidates available, including Norv Turner and Ron Rivera, so hopefully the Chargers won't be saddled with someone who hasn't coached in ten years or so like the Raiders did last season... Sat, 3 February 2007 This is something I've wondered about for a long time, since they have gear with the winning team's logo on it, something must happen to the shirts made up with the loser's logo on it as well. Well, the The New York Times has a feature on what exactly happens to those shirts that are never to see the light of day. It's a pretty interesting read if you've ever wondered about that...
